Job summary

The World Bank Group seeks an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations across the Global Environment Facility offices in Washington, DC. The ETC will record time in SBS and coordinate with office staff to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting.

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least two years of financial experience, with SAP proficiency and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two years of relevant financial and accounting experience.
• Experience in using SAP.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English.
• Experience working in an international setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly burn rate reports on the budget and expenses, by downloading the information from SAP, for monitoring variances and deviations for the management.
• Monitor variances and deviations of budget use.
• Support the initial set-up and closing of the annual administrative budgets.
• Support required transactions such as creating charge codes and reposting costs in SAP.
• Monitor the completeness of the Staff Billing System (SBS).
• Support all the system updates mandated by the WBG BPS team.
• Support tasks associated with fiscal year end as required.
