Job summary

W3Global in Souderton, PA is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our welding and metal fabrication team. You will estimate welding and sheet metal projects, review CAD/SolidWorks drawings, and work with engineering and production to ensure bids are accurate and cost-effective.

The role requires at least 5 years in estimating or project management in welding or manufacturing, strong shop math and drawing interpretation, and JobBOSS ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating and/or project management in welding or metal fabrication.
• Strong shop math, measurement systems, and layout techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD/SolidWorks drawings; manipulating drawings preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially JobBOSS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, materials, labor, production processes, and lead times.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, estimating, shop math, and technical drawings, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed proposals and client quotes, including labor, materials, overhead, and expected lead times.
• Collaborate with engineering, project managers, and lead welders to ensure project scope and production requirements are accurately reflected in estimates.
• Work with project managers and lead welders to troubleshoot, review, and refine estimates within the JobBOSS ERP system.
• Support project planning and scheduling to promote timely and cost-effective project execution.
• Manage multiple estimating projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain accurate project and estimating documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating and/or project management within a welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of shop math, measurement systems, and layout techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD and SolidWorks drawings; experience manipulating drawings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding and sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems, particularly JobBOSS, is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
