Job summary

Apex Building Company, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support Division7 scopes for waterproofing and moisture protection projects. This full-time role collaborates with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure bids are thorough, timely, and aligned with project specifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, preparing cost estimates and bid proposals, performing quantity takeoffs, and using Procore, Bluebeam, or Excel to model costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years estimating experience in Division7 or general construction.
• Familiarity with Division7, materials, and installation techniques.
• Ability to travel to job sites, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Project Assessment: Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to determine Division7 scopes and cost drivers.
• Prepare Cost Estimates: Detail estimates, bid proposals, quantity takeoffs, and vendor/subcontractor pricing; participate in pre-bid/site visits.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors; clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage Bidding Process: Solicit/evaluate bids; submit competitive proposals; track outcomes and records.
• Estimating Software: Use Procore, Bluebeam, Excel to model costs and generate reports.
• Track and Report Costs: Monitor actual vs estimated costs; perform post-project analyses and account for market trends.
