Job summary

SERVPRO of Sarasota is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Sarasota, FL. You will visit job sites, document loss conditions, and write accurate scopes of work for water, fire, and mold jobs.

You will build estimates in Xactimate, present them to homeowners and adjusters, and coordinate with our reconstruction and production teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on restoration experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, and mold remediation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain scopes and sell jobs to clients.

Responsibilities

• Meet customers on-site to inspect and document loss conditions (photos, moisture readings, measurements, sketches)
• Write detailed, accurate scopes of work for water mitigation, fire, and mold remediation jobs
• Coordinate handoff to our reconstruction department once mitigation is complete
• Build and submit estimates in Xactimate that meet carrier and industry guidelines
• Present estimates and sell jobs to homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients
• Work with insurance adjusters on approvals, supplements, and revisions
• Coordinate with production crews so jobs are set up for success from day one
• Follow up on open estimates and keep your pipeline moving

The Role

We’re looking for a self-motivated Estimator who can go out to job sites, write accurate scopes, build estimates in Xactimate, and close the sale. You’ll be the first point of contact for many customers, so we need someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and confident walking a property owner or adjuster through the process.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, and mold remediation
• Strong working knowledge of Xactimate
• Proven ability to scope accurately and sell jobs
• Familiarity with IICRC standards; IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT) preferred
• A positive, team-first attitude and a strong work ethic. We care about culture and want someone who fits in and lifts others up.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple jobs at once
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces/attics, and work in active loss environments
  

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
