Job summary

Htprof is seeking an experienced Estimating Lead to own the numbers behind competitive bids on utility infrastructure projects in Southern California. You will lead the estimating group while remaining hands-on, collaborating with operations from bid through hand-off.

Responsibilities include leading the team, turning RFPs into defensible cost estimates, running quantity take-offs, bid packaging, pre-bid participation, subcontractor pricing, and supporting project managers through hand-off.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in estimating with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in utility infrastructure or heavy civil estimating.
• Proficient in Excel; scheduling in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years in estimating with growing responsibility
• Utility infrastructure or heavy civil estimating experience
• Commercial estimating software: B2W, Accubid, HCSS or similar
• Strong Excel; MS Project or P6 scheduling
• Able to pull a clean scope from plans, specs and bid documents
• Degree in engineering, construction management or finance preferred; equivalent experience considered

COMPENSATION

$130,000 - $150,000 base depending on experience, plus medical, dental and vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid vacation, holiday and sick time.
