Job summary

Kiely Family of Companies seeks an Estimator to develop bid cost estimates for gas, water, and sewer utility projects, guiding them from bid through construction.

Responsibilities include reviewing bid documents, producing estimates in HCSS Heavy Bid, preparing proposals and SOWs, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. Requires a college degree and 5 years in heavy civil construction.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration.
• Five years of experience in heavy civil construction or related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of utility infrastructure construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents and note requirements.
• Produce timely and accurate estimates using HCSS Heavy Bid.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and third parties on project development.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk plans.
• Generate RFIs for clarification and requirements.
• Prepare bid proposals and SOWs for submittal.
• Maintain organization of project information.
• Provide material take-offs and estimates using Excel and internal databases.
