Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is seeking a mid-level Utility Estimator based in Lone Tree, CO. You will support pursuits and projects by coordinating Utility Design and SUE, leveraging your expertise in water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecom work.

The role requires strong coordination with Civil, Roadway, and Structures teams to minimize risk and ensure accurate estimates. You will analyze project data, prepare top-down and bottom-up estimates, and develop bid packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10 Years Minimum experience with preferably 5 in estimating.
• Able to open and manipulate .dwg, .dgn, .pdf files.
• Working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of estimating softwares such as HCSS or Hard Dollar.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from CAD, Microstation, or PDF sources.
• Prepare estimates for water, sewer, gas, electric, telecom utility work.
• Travel to project or pursuit offices and coordinate with other estimators.
• Input quantities into estimating software and apply unit pricing from historical costs.
