Job summary

InfraSource is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. You will develop timely and accurate bids for underground utility and renewable energy projects across the Midwest and Eastern US, coordinating with local operations and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience, strong MS Office skills, and proven ability to read prints and perform quantity takeoffs; you will help manage risk, prepare proposals, and support business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficient in reading prints and quantities takeoffs
• Strong organization and independent work

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate development of bids and proposals for underground utility and renewable energy projects
• Review work requirements with local operations and project stakeholders
• Perform detailed estimating including constructability and methodologies
• Research cost elements: labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, risks
• Identify risks and propose contingencies and constructability solutions
• Prepare detailed written proposals with clarifications and assumptions
• Present estimates to upper management for review and risk assessment
• Submit final bids to customers within deadlines
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and backups
• Support field personnel with change orders and customer negotiations
• Collaborate with Business Development on major pursuits
