Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator to produce accurate quantity take-offs, enter pricing, and apply WBS while coordinating with vendors for basic project elements. You will help prepare budgets, purchasing plans, and ensure proper documentation throughout the estimate process.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience. Travel of 10% or less may be required, with opportunities for domestic and international assignments.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs to identify missing elements.
• Strong multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produces accurate quantity and material take-offs from plans and specs.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material pricing for estimates.
• Applies WBS to project estimates and coordinates pricing with vendors.
• Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Contributes to key estimating deliverables and budgeting.
• Develops basic models for senior review and supports conceptual estimating.
• Develops budgets and purchasing plans with minimal oversight.
• Manages document flow during estimate preparation and logs estimates.
• Performs additional duties as required.
