Currently seeking an Estimator to support our organization’s mission to provide superior quality, lasting value, and outstanding customer service through our day-to-day workflow processes.

Candidate will prepare cost estimates that encompass each aspect of all projects: materials, equipment, and labor costs. Estimates will be derived by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Responsibilities:

·Prepare quantity take-offs

·Quantify calculations to arrive at total construction costs

·Provide support to Project Management throughout the life of the project

·Build and maintain long-term relationships with the contractor and key vendors

·Visit sites, warehouses and other venues, as necessary, to do the estimate

Qualifications:

·1-2 years of experience estimating Commercial Construction projects, General Construction and/or Steel Erection, required. Knowledge of estimating construction of Storage Facilities preferred.

·Proficient knowledge of steel/general construction and design terms.

·Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

·Ability to pass drug and background screenings.

·Proficiency in reading specifications, plan designs, and details to ensure accurate quantity take offs.

·Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, PlanSwift, etc.

·Detail oriented with strong writing and oral communication skills.

·Ability to multi-task and meet schedules.

·Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.

·Willing and able to travel and perform outdoor site walks in all weather conditions.

Position is Full Time 8-5/M-F, working primarily in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. As this position is related to construction, which can be an unpredictable field, hours may occasionally vary from week to week and exposure to elements can be experienced when making site visits. (NOTE: Travel to project sites, as well as any variance in hours within a work week, are extremely rare and should only occur under very limited circumstances.)
