Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator in the Phoenix, AZ area to prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects, focusing on self-perform work. You will leverage HCSS, MS Project, and value engineering to craft accurate bids and competitive pricing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, a related degree, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. A competitive compensation package and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience estimating heavy civil construction projects with a focus on self-perform work.
• A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Skilled using HCSS
• Proven expertise in estimating costs for underground utilities, site work, drainage, and roadway construction.
• Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
• Solid understanding of value engineering principles and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and prices.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and estimates.
