Job summary

STS Construction Services in Los Angeles is seeking an Estimator for its Special Projects Division. You will develop relationships with homeowners and management companies, walk jobs, and translate notes into accurate estimates and proposals to grow our client base.

Daily tasks include presenting proposals, coordinating with the Special Projects Project Manager to ensure scope execution, and reviewing profit and loss after project completion.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• +5 years of experience in construction and estimating.
• Experience in commercial or residential bidding/estimating/project management.
• Experience with Xactimate software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with homeowners and management companies to expand clients.
• Walk jobs, take notes and translate them into estimates and proposals.
• Present proposals to potential customers.
• Coordinate with the Special Projects Project Manager to ensure scope is executed as planned.
• Review profit and loss after jobs are complete.

Our company specializes in remodel/new construction for residential and commercial properties. Our special projects division’s focus is on tenant improvement projects, and various types of remodel projects, in addition to emergency services, small repairs and restoration for a multitude of properties in the Los Angeles area. Our goal is for this person to continue to maintain our current relationships, while developing new relationships and leads.

What Does An Estimators DayLook Like?

• Making contact with various residential homeowners and management companies to develop relationships and expand our services to new customers
• Walking jobs, taking notes and translating them into estimates and proposals
• Presenting proposals to potential customers
• Working with the Special Projects Project Manager to hand off projects and make sure they are executed to scope
• Reviewing profit and loss once jobs are complete
• Meeting monthly with the accounting team and ownership to review financials

• Start Time: 6:00am-9:00am depending on project
• End Time: 3:00pm- 6:00pm depending on project
