Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication Estimator in Hudson, NH. You will prepare quotations, review drawings and specifications, and calculate costs for laser cutting, punching, welding, and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of estimating, programming, or manufacturing experience within a sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of precision sheet metal fabrication processes including laser cutting, punching, press brake forming, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience with GD&T and with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for custom sheet metal parts, assemblies, and fabrication projects.
• Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD files to determine manufacturing requirements and cost drivers.
• Calculate material costs, labor hours, machine time, outsideservices, tooling requirements, and overall production costs.
• Develop manufacturing routings and process plans for laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and assembly operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effective solutions.
• Recommend Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve production flow.
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify project requirements and support the quoting process.
• Maintain quote history, pricing databases, and estimating documentation for accuracy and future reference.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing estimating accuracy and reducing quote turnaround times.
• Assist with job planning, process optimization, and other manufacturing support activities as needed.

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Estimator to join a growing precision manufacturing team in Hudson, NH. This role is responsible for generating accurate and timely cost estimates for custom sheet metal components, assemblies, prototypes, and production runs. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Desired Background / Skills

• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience quoting prototype and short-run production work preferred.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles preferred.
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, medical device, electronics, or other precision manufacturing industries preferred.
• Experience with estimating and quoting software preferred.
