Pulice is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare project estimates by analyzing specifications and contract plans to ensure cost-effective quantities and construction methods align with pursuit, schedule and price goals.

Review drawings, incorporate historical data, and provide input on risks while leading takeoffs and quantity calculations. Coordinate with the pursuit team to deliver competitive bids for complex projects in Scottsdale, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of construction estimating or cost control experience.
• Specialized knowledge of alternative delivery methods.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid software.
• Strong technical writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and contents of estimate.
• Incorporate historical data into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provide input on project risks to the lead estimator.
• Prepare discipline estimates by complete takeoffs and material quantities.
• Monitor client addenda and advise on changes.
• Assist with design review options based on cost and availability.
• Pair with the team to hand off projects between pursuit and management.
• Research vendors and subcontractors to meet pursuit goals.

Overview

As an experienced Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing project estimates by analyzing specifications and contract plans to ensure cost-effective quantities and construction methods align with pursuit, schedule and price goals.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical input regarding project and contract risks to lead estimator responsible for final bid price approval. Reviews final estimate to ensure defined work aligns with overall project schedule and cost goals.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Calculates material quantity requirements from engineering drawing dimensions.
• Monitors client addendum and advises the estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assists with design review options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
• Partners with estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit team and project management team.
• Researches and recommends vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve pursuit and cost goals.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control preferred.
• Specialized knowledge and experience in alternative construction delivery methods.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Able to lead pursuit and estimating activities on a large or complex pursuit project.
