Job summary

First Onsite - US is seeking an Estimator to craft project estimates using Xactimate and Excel, coordinating with Operations to gather measurements, plans, photos, and materials for accurate, profitable budgets.

You will manage budgets, change orders, and schedules, ensure quality and safety, and produce handoff documents for smooth project transitions, contributing to client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in restoration/construction.
• 3 current certifications; Xactimate certification within 6 months.
• Able to read blueprints and architectural plans.
• Skilled in drawings, specs, documents and take-offs.
• Experience ensuring code compliance.
• Cross-trained in DR/GC.
• High school diploma required; degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, schedules, crews, and job site operations.
• Oversee budgets, estimates, and change orders to ensure profitability.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company and industry standards.

• Prepare project handoff documents and coordinate with Operations.
• Provide 24/7 response when needed and uphold a clean, safe job site.

A Day in the Life of an Estimator

As an Estimator, you estimate projects using software such as Xactimate to create the scope of work. You work in collaboration with the Operations team by gathering field measurements, notes/plans, photo documentation, and materials necessary while using your understanding of restoration and the true costs of construction to create accurate estimates and preliminary budgets. Your service-oriented mindset and positive disposition come through in every interaction, fostering strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors and making collections activity a breeze.
