Job summary

First Onsite - US is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate project estimates using Xactimate, measurements, notes, plans, and photos. You will collaborate with the Operations team to gather field data and craft preliminary budgets while understanding restoration costs and true construction expenses.

You will be proactive in providing solutions, maintaining timely updates, and fostering strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Estimation experience in restoration/construction required.
• Proficiency with Xactimate and cost databases.
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural plans.
• Knowledge of codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of an Estimator

As an Estimator, you estimate projects using software such as Xactimate to create the scope of work. You work in collaboration with the Operations team by gathering field measurements, notes/plans, photo documentation, and materials necessary while using your understanding of restoration and the true costs of construction to create accurate estimates and preliminary budgets. Your service-oriented mindset and positive disposition come through in every interaction, fostering strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors and making collections activity a breeze.

Responsibilities:

Experience & Education:

• 2+ years in restoration/construction
• 3 current certifications; Xactimate certification within 6 months
• Able to read blueprints & architectural plans
• Skilled in drawings, specs, documents & take-offs
• Experience ensuring code compliance
• Cross-trained in DR/GC
• High school diploma required; degree preferred
• Valid driver's license required
