Job summary

D&S Automotive Collision and Restyling is hiring a full-time Repair Planners/Estimator to lead vehicle damage assessment, create detailed repair estimates, and communicate plans with customers. The role reports to the Collision Manager and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced shop environment in Mentor, OH.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of auto body estimating experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background/credit check required.
• Proficient with CCC One estimating program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage all documentation of damage using our estimating system and digital photos.
• Assist in establishing a realistic repair plan based on parts delivery dates and shop volume.
• Create an estimate for repairs.
• Explain repair process, parts used, and expectations to the customer.
• Work with Parts Department to acquire needed parts to complete repairs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

About The Position

Please note during the first 90 days of employment, there may be occasional mandatory training at D&S Automotive's HQ which is located in Mentor, OH. Gas mileage will be paid for the trainings. In addition upon the successful completion of your 90 days, you will be eligible for an $1500.00 sign-on bonus.

The Repair Planners/Estimators at D&S Automotive lead the team that disassembles vehicles, thoroughly inspects them for damage, and properly documents all damage. The Repair Planner/Estimator's conclusions will then be made into an estimate and submitted to the insurance company or the customer for permission.

This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7:45 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. Essential Job Functions

• Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage all documentation of damage by utilizing our estimating system and taking digital photos
• Assist in establishing a realistic repair plan based on parts' delivery dates and current shop volume
• Create an estimate for repairs
• Explain repair process, parts used for repairs, and expectations for repairs to the customer
• Work with the Parts Department to acquire needed parts to complete repair
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of auto body estimating experience is required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background/credit check
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
• Skillful with the CCC One estimating program or equivalent
