Position Overview

We are looking for a Lead Sitework / Water - Sewer - Drainage Estimator with a minimum of 10 years’ experience estimating in this field. An ideal candidate is self‑motivated, honest, driven, responsible, punctual, with a good work ethic, respect, and integrity. Must be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; Spanish is a plus but not required. SMC requires a background check and is a drug‑free workplace with random testing.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 10 years estimating experience
• Proficient in Excel, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word
• Evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that details have been reviewed to successfully provide the client with an accurate price
• Have a thorough understanding of scopes with the ability to read, understand and do take‑offs on blueprints
• Prepare and submit proposals to clients
• Prepare and submit purchase orders to vendors
• Clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment
