Job summary

Cobra Concrete Cutting Services Co., the Midwest's leading concrete sawing and drilling contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager for our Wheeling, Illinois office. This full-time, in-office role manages inbound estimate requests, prepares project estimates and takeoffs, and supports the sales team.

Our team supports projects ranging from local commercial work to large-scale projects across the United States.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for:

• Managing inbound estimate requests
• Preparing project estimates and takeoffs
• Supporting the outside sales team
• Collaborating closely with company management and ownership
• Providing estimating support for Cobra locations across (projects may be bid and performed throughout the United States):
• Milwaukee/Madison
• Central Illinois
• Southern Illinois
• Northwest Indiana
• Indianapolis
• St. Louis
• Support our sister company in Atlanta, GA, bidding jobs all over the south eastern US
• Attend occasional association meetings/events after hours
• Occasional job visits may be necessary

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and online takeoff software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Familiarity with public bid processes, including:
• DOT and non-DOT projects
• State and municipal bidding platforms
• SAM.gov

• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong desire for long-term career growth
• Experience or interest in our other service offerings, concrete flatwork, demolition, or Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a plus

Requirements

• Previous construction, estimating, or project management experience required
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
