Job summary

Amic Inc in Rochester, MN seeks an experienced construction professional to drive bids, takeoffs, proposals, and estimates for commercial projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, On-Screen Takeoff, and Quick Bid is preferred, with a focus on accurate cost control and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial flooring, carpeting, drywall, or related construction products is preferred.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, suppliers, customers, superintendents, and field personnel to maintain strong working relationships and ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bids, takeoffs, proposals, and estimates for commercial construction projects using plans, blueprints, data, and supplier pricing.
• Manage projects from pre-construction and bidding through completion.
• Review blueprints, specifications, contract documents, RFIs, change orders, and project requirements to identify material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, suppliers, customers, superintendents, and field personnel to maintain smooth project execution.
• Manage material procurement, quantities, deliveries, and scheduling to ensure materials are available at the jobsite when needed.
• Monitor project costs, production rates, schedules, and manpower, identifying risks and cost overruns.
• Prepare and follow up on bids, negotiate changes, track costs, and assist in securing timely payment.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, On-Screen Takeoff, and Quick Bid.
