Job summary

Miller-Insulation-Co-Inc in Bismarck, ND is seeking a motivated Estimator / Project Manager to join our employee-owned team. You will analyze blueprints, quotes, and historical data to estimate manpower, timelines, and material costs, while coordinating with operations, general contractors, customers, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes leadership through foremen and team leads, improving estimating accuracy and project performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of related experience and/or training may substitute for degree.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and historical data to estimate manpower, timelines, and costs.
• Collaborate with operations, general contractors, customers, and suppliers.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide leadership through foremen and team leads to support performance, safety, attendance, and policy adherence.
• Review projects against original estimates and identify variances to improve accuracy.

• Associate degree in Construction Management required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of related experience and/or training may be considered in place of the degree requirement.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and historical project data to accurately estimate manpower requirements, project timelines, and material costs.
• Work closely and professionally with operations personnel, general contractors, customers, and material suppliers.
• Develop new business opportunities while building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Provide leadership through Foremen and Team Leads to support employee performance, quality, safety, attendance, adherence to company policies, discipline, and issue resolution.
• Review completed projects against original estimates, identify variances, and recommend improvements to increase estimating accuracy and future project performance.
