Job summary

GDA Contractors in Austin, TX is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to work closely with senior management to ensure company goals are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This role combines estimating with project management duties, including coordinating client relations, approving vendor invoices, setting up new projects, and guiding contract administration from negotiation to start-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management/engineering or related field required.
• Construction management experience or related industry experience required.
• Experience coordinating installations and project start-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Approve all vendor invoices for purchases on jobs under contract.
• Coordinate customer relations and requests for projects.
• Coordinate technically difficult installations and ensure proper execution.
• Complete job setup and startup functions on jobs sold.
• Manage and oversee contract administration from negotiation through execution.

The Opportunity:

As Estimator/Project Manager, you will work closely with senior management to ensure that company goals and missions are met.

• Responsible for following the Bid Schedule
• Follow bidding and selling practices established by the company.
• Set-up and Start-up phase of each project.
• Maintain Bidding Activity of a minimum of 3 jobs per week.
• Close contracts on projects bid

Project Management:

• Approve all vendor invoices of purchases for jobs under contract.
• Coordinate customer relations and requests.
• Personally coordinate any technically difficult installations.
• Complete Job Set-up and Start-up functions on jobs sold
• Manage and oversee contract administration from negotiation

What you need to succeed:

• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Engineering or a related field
• Construction management or related industry experience required
