Job summary

Turner Industries Group in Port Allen, LA is seeking an Estimator to join our Estimating team at the Pipe Fabrication Facility. The role will coordinate proposal documents, generate material and labor take-offs, and compute pricing based on drawings and client data.

You will develop technical and commercial responses with QA/QC and contracts, support project and sales teams through to award, liaise with the Contracts department, attend kick-off meetings, and maintain a safe, compliant work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or equivalent combinations of experience, training, and/or education in specified skill.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills required in facilitating the execution of projects based on preliminary information only.
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented.
• Proficient in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating proposal documents, specifications, drawings, and related information.
• Generating material and labor take off based on client drawings, specifications, and/or bills of quantity.
• Computing pricing based on developed take-offs and client data; develops technical and commercial responses to include in proposals in conjunction with QA/QC and contracts department.
• Continuing coordination efforts with projects and/or sales groups until project is awarded;
• Acting as a liaison with Contracts department regarding relevant bid/award documentation;
• Attending kick-off meetings internally and with client if necessary for awarded projects;
• Performing additional assignments as required;
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
