Industrial Electrical Estimator

Position Summary

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for estimating new projects.

Compensation

$75,000 to $100,000 based on experience. Comprehensive Benefit Package including: Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance; Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401K.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

1. Review and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, as well as other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
2. Perform and input accurate take-offs.
3. Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents.
4. Analyze project for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed.
5. Identify any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents.
6. Support in pre-planning for projects.
7. Maintain project documents such as drawings and specifications in an organized manner.
8. Maintain project files on the file server according to company standards.
9. Prepare cost reconciliation between estimates and explain variance cost drivers.
10. Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and suppliers.
11. Review quotes for adherence to requests and accuracy.
12. Prepare bid documents, including specific scope letters for each project.
