Job summary

SISCORP Structures in Houston designs and builds industrial building systems for midstream, power, data centers, and more. The Estimator will interpret specifications, prepare detailed sales write-ups, and drive the estimating process from scope to proposal.

• 5+ years estimating PEMB industry experience.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and MBS software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and convert customer specifications into a detailed Sales Write-Up to drive scope and estimates.
• Collaborate with Design Engineer to interpret preliminary designs and client specs.
• Issue RFPs to vendors and clearly communicate technical specs.
• Provide prompt responses to vendor inquiries about project scope.
• Expedite vendor responses to ensure timely RFP submissions.
• Analyze vendor bids to select cost-effective solutions meeting requirements.
• Develop and maintain cost summaries in Excel with steel costs and quotes.
• Present total estimated project costs to the sales team for proposals.
• Draft client proposals consolidating technical and commercial details for approval.
• Update cost information upon project award to reflect current pricing.
• Organize and archive project docs in SharePoint for smooth handoff.
• Maintain communication with Estimating Manager and Salesperson for alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and convert customer-provided specifications into a detailed Sales Write-Up, establishing the foundational reference document that governs scope of work and drives the estimating process.
• Collaborate with the Design Engineer to interpret preliminary designs and client specifications in order to identify required components and materials.
• Issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors, ensuring all technical specifications are clearly communicated.
• Provide prompt and accurate responses to vendor inquiries and clarification requests concerning the project scope.
• Expedite vendor responses to ensure timely receipt of RFP submissions.
• Analyze vendor bids to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the project’s technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost summaries using Microsoft Excel, incorporating primary steel costs and vendor quotes.
• Present total estimated project costs to the sales team, supporting them in developing client proposals.
• Draft client proposals, consolidating all technical and commercial details for final sales approval.
• Upon project award, review and update cost information to reflect current pricing and availability.
• Organize and archive all project documentation in a dedicated SharePoint folder for seamless operational handoff.
• Maintain regular communication with the Estimating Manager and Salesperson to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the proposal development process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience within the PEMB industry.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and MBS software is a plus.
