Cogent Talent Solutions, on behalf of a well-established commercial plumbing contractor in the Cleveland area, seeks a Commercial Plumbing Estimator. You will review plans, prepare detailed cost estimates, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate bids for New Construction, renovations, and tenant improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial plumbing estimating, strong plan-reading skills, and proficiency with Fast Est estimating software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a plumbing estimator, preferably in a commercial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and contracts to develop accurate plumbing estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers for quotes.

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join their team.

The Commercial Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive plumbing estimates for a wide range of commercial projects, including new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, construction processes, and the ability to analyze project specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop accurate plumbing estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing information.
• Evaluate site conditions and scope of work to ensure all necessary work is included in the estimate.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Present and explain estimates to clients, ensuring clear communication and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Track and update project budgets throughout the bidding and construction phases.
• Assist in identifying cost‑saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Attending Job Walk Throughs
• Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and technology advancements to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a plumbing estimator, preferably in a commercial setting.

• Proficiency in Fast Est estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
