Job summary

icon Mechanical is seeking an Estimator for our Convergent Solutions Division in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Mechanical estimating experience and the capability to price projects up to $6 million, focusing on HVAC, piping, sheet metal, and plumbing.

Responsibilities include analyzing plans and specs, performing take-offs, preparing detailed bid proposals, and soliciting subcontractor quotes. Join a growing team delivering large-scale mechanical construction projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in mechanical contracting (HVAC, piping, sheet metal, plumbing).
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and contract documents with strong cost calculations.
• Proficient in on-screen take-off software (QuoteSoft preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specs, and contracts to define scope.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients on objectives, timelines, budgets.
• Perform take-offs and prepare detailed bid proposals for HVAC, piping, sheet metal, plumbing.
• Source subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure accurate pricing.
• Assess risks and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and subcontractor negotiations.
