Job summary

Dalsin Industries in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Estimator to translate customer prints, CAD files and BOMs into complete, auditable quote packages and to support sales with margin analysis and value engineering. You will collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing and Production to validate costs and lead times, ensuring manufacturability and on-time quoting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP/quoting experience (Epicor preferred) and the ability to produce accurate pre-production inputs

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years estimating/costing in manufacturing or related fields; 5+ for senior roles.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP systems experience; CAD literacy preferred.
• Strong documentation, attention to detail and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer prints, CAD files and BOMs to build full costing worksheets.
• Prepare timely, auditable quote packages and support revisions and scenario costing.
• Validate manufacturability, lead times and cost inputs with Engineering and Production.
• Maintain estimating templates, cost models and unit-cost libraries.
• Support margin sensitivity analysis and value-engineering during negotiations.
