Job summary

You will collaborate with operations leaders, project teams, suppliers, and customers to develop accurate estimates for profitable commercial projects. The role requires 2+ years in commercial estimating, proficiency with Bluebeam and BuzzBid/OST/QuickBid, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of estimating experience in commercial specialty construction.
• Experience with interior/exterior specialty contractor or commercial subcontractor.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and estimating software (BuzzBid, QuickBid, OST, or comparable).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review plans and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using BuzzBid.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with operations, project management, and field leadership on assumptions and labor strategies.
• Develop pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and company objectives.
• Prepare proposals, bid packages, and preconstruction documentation.
• Review contract language and identify potential risks.
• Assist with change order pricing, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, owners, vendors, and industry partners.
• Monitor market trends, material pricing, and competitive activity.
