Job Description
Estimator in Training
Key Job Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Greets customers at repair drop‑off and builds rapport.
- Maps damage with customers (previous and current loss, WOW opportunities).
- Takes initial photographs and handles repair mapping.
- Uploads photos and notes to CCC One, including arrival time.
- Notifies production of vehicle arrival and places it in the production queue.
- Verifies estimates during teardown.
- Finalizes estimates using the proper Repair Planning Template.
- Works with the repair team to ensure windshield notations are correct and complete.
- Puts together the final parts list.
- Uses the Promise Date Calculator to set the promise date.
- Calls customers to review the estimate and promise date.
- Updates customers regularly, following management‑determined standards.
- Participates in and contributes to regularly scheduled production meetings.
- Calls customers whose cars will be completed the next day and schedules them.
- Follows up with technicians after vehicle teardown and adjusts estimates if needed.
- Assists insurance adjusters with damage reports and provides service to insurance claim re‑inspectors.
Education & Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior customer service experience required.
- Must currently possess or successfully complete 16 I‑CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
Preferred
- 4‑6 years of related work experience.
- Photo‑imaging software experience preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products preferred.
- Good decision‑making ability and sound judgment.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch while evaluating vehicle damage.
- Must possess clear vision for accurate damage assessment.
Physical Demands
Job duties require regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Compensation
Pay: $18 - $20 per hour.
