Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an Estimator II in Bloomington, MN to develop detailed conceptual estimates from schematic documents and complete construction estimates from plans and specs. Projects are typically under $50 million or involve designated components on larger jobs.

You will prepare bids, analyze quantities, and collaborate with senior estimators to refine strategies. Responsibilities include preparing bid packages, organizing take-offs, reviewing plans, and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field required and 4+ years of related experience
• Proficient in detailed estimate organization and take-off
• Familiarity with project schedules and durations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and estimating software
• Strong integrity and attention to precision in detailed work

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids, conceptual cost models, and budgets; perform quantitative analyses of construction documents and project requirements
• Monitor field production to establish data base pricing; quantify bid take-offs
• Review plans and specs; assemble general conditions costs; prepare bid documents
• Create and organize scope comparisons of subcontractor and vendor bids; build subcontractor relations
• Participate in buyout process; lead bid closings and communicate bid strategies
