Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• 2+ years in heavy civil, mining, construction or related area.
• Experience with field engineering, estimating, scheduling, and technical writing.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, civil estimating software (HCSS), and Primavera P6.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Ability to read contracts, specs, and drawings.
• Willingness to travel overnight occasionally and visit mines/tunnels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing and managing the bid process with Estimating Manager.
• Review bid documents to develop labor, materials, equipment costs.
• Travel to pre-bid meetings and site visits; build client/engineer relations.
• Consult with suppliers and subcontractors during bidding to determine costs.
• Assist with technical proposals and presentations.
• Assist with post-bid work plans, procurement, scheduling, cost control.
• Participate in production tracking and post-job analysis.
• Maintain historical estimates and project records.
