Job summary

HDR is seeking an Estimator I to develop, evaluate, and present cost data for construction projects. You will work on planning, evaluation, or definitive proposals, interpreting plans to prepare accurate estimates and coordinating with design and construction teams to gather scope and schedule data.

Requirements include a Civil/Construction degree, knowledge of EPC methods, proficient MS Office and estimating software, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, processes, and procedures.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, cost estimating and project control software.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture; sponsorship for US employment is not available.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates.
• Prepare estimates for planning, evaluation/study, or definitive proposals.
• Interpret construction plans and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters.
• Work on estimates for any part or total project or changes to the project.
• Coordinate with design and construction staff to gather estimate scope and schedule data.
