Estimator I: Construction Bid Specialist

Job summary

MasTec Industrialis, part of MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure, seeks an Estimator I/III to support bid pursuits and occasionally lead efforts. The role reports to the Estimating Manager and leverages experience in conceptual estimates for EPC, design-build, and general construction projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing bid packages, performing takeoffs, organizing estimates for field turnover, and guiding junior estimators. 2–7 years of estimating experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 2-7 years of construction estimating experience.
• Knowledge of EPC, DB and JV contracts and estimating processes.
• Experience leading bids and coordinating with vendors/clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete conceptual estimates for large EPC, design-build, and general construction projects.
• Lead bid teams and mentor junior estimators.
• Organize estimates with clear manhour breakdowns and data for field turnover.
• Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in client and vendor interactions.
