Job summary

Metric Geo, based in Kansas City, seeks an experienced estimator to drive comprehensive bids for major grading, earthwork and utility projects across the region. This preconstruction role rewards speed, accuracy and a keen eye for risk.

You will review plans and specs, build competitive estimates, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, develop bid strategies, and work with PMs and engineers to ensure a smooth handoff from bid to construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
• 3+ years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Experience with grading and wet utilities preferred.
• Proficient with estimating software (Agtek/TBC, AutoCAD, HCSS, Bluebeam).

Metric Geo are supporting a top-tier Heavy Civil contractor based in Kansas City. They are searching for a seasoned estimator to join their team and help in the delivering of major grading and utility projects across the region.

About the Role:

You’ll take the lead on building accurate, competitive estimates, analyzing project risks, and coordinating early project planning. This is a high-impact preconstruction role for someone who enjoys fast-paced bidding and shaping winning proposals.
