Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction, estimating or cost control preferred.
• Developing technical writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications, drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and contents of estimate.
• Incorporate historical data from POs, subcontractors and productivity reports into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provide technical input on project risks to lead estimator and ensure alignment with schedule and cost goals.
• Prepare discipline estimates by taking complete takeoffs and calculating quantities from drawings.
• Monitor client addenda and advise estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assist with design review options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with the estimating team to hand off projects between pursuit and project management.
• Research vendors and subcontractors to meet pursuit and cost goals.
