Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Engineer/Estimator to develop preliminary structural and geotechnical designs for deep foundations and shoring systems, translate designs into accurate cost estimates, and support bids and proposals.

This role collaborates with operations, project management, and field leadership to ensure robust, cost-effective estimates and constructible designs for utility-scale solar projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of structural and geotechnical design experience.
• Experience with deep foundations and shoring/earth-retention systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary designs for deep foundation and shoring systems based on project data.
• Prepare detailed estimates with quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project teams and outside engineers to ensure constructible designs.
• Support bid proposals with pricing, schedules, and clarifications.
