Job summary

Plexos Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator in the United States to support budgeting, procurement, and project cost validation across infrastructure, housing, capital improvements, and disaster recovery programs.

You will develop and validate project costs, perform quantity takeoffs, and assist in Independent Cost Estimates while coordinating with project teams and financial specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and project cost controls.
• Experience reviewing plans, specs, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, quantities, labor, materials, and pricing.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Help drive informed project decisions through accurate cost estimating, quantity validation, and financial analysis.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our talent pipeline for anticipated infrastructure, housing, capital improvement, construction, and disaster recovery programs. This position will provide cost estimating, quantity review, independent cost estimate development, procurement support, and cost analysis services throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, and project cost analysis.

What You'll Do

As an Estimator, you will support project planning, procurement, budgeting, and change management efforts by developing and validating project costs and quantity assumptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project scopes of work, plans, specifications, quantities, and technical documentation for estimating purposes.
• Prepare, review, and update project cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and quantity validation for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Identify discrepancies among plans, specifications, quantities, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Develop cost breakdowns and estimate documentation supporting project decisions.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs).
• Support procurement activities through cost and price analysis.
• Evaluate cost impacts associated with scope changes, quantity revisions, and project modifications.
• Maintain documentation supporting estimates, assumptions, unit costs, cost analyses, and quantity calculations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, financial specialists, and other project stakeholders regarding project cost matters.
• Support budget planning, forecasting, procurement reviews, and project reporting efforts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

• Construction Management
• Quantity Surveying
• Related Field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in:

• Quantity Takeoffs
• Cost AnalysisProject Cost Controls
• Related Construction Services
• Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and technical project documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, quantities, labor, materials, and pricing.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure, housing, rehabilitation, and capital improvement projects.
• Knowledge of construction procurement and bid evaluation processes.
• Experience preparing Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs) for public sector projects.
• Familiarity with federal, state, or grant-funded construction projects.
