MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Cost Estimator to join our Client Programs Market on our Cost Management Team in any of our US offices, including Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; Albany, NY; and Phoenix, AZ. More office locations can be found at Colliers Engineering & Design Offices.

You will support project and client leadership through all phases of design and delivery, working on global and national building programs. Your responsibilities include preparing estimates, conducting material and labor investigations, providing value engineering suggestions, and supporting project tasks such as bid reviews and change order reviews. Commercial construction estimating experience and understanding of architecture and construction are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed takeoffs of materials and trades for all CSI divisions.
• Prepare labor, material, and equipment pricing research for estimates.
• Provide various types of estimates for new construction, remodels, and small infrastructure projects.
• Create detailed narratives to convey scope of work to clients.
• Review estimates with senior staff for quality assurance.
• Support project-related tasks including comparisons and investigations.
• Update Cost Management’s historical database.
• Support bid and change order reviews.
• Meet with project teams and clients to gather necessary information.
• Visit building sites as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and adhere to schedules.
• Monitor time spent on projects for profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience in commercial construction preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Understanding of architecture and construction.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Compensation ranges from $60,100 to $92,300 annually, depending on qualifications.
