Job summary

Anton Cabinetry, a premier commercial millwork specialist based in Texas, seeks an experienced Estimator to craft accurate proposals by analyzing materials, labor, and overhead. You will drive resource planning and profitability across projects, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

You will use TradeSoft, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam for takeoffs and cost estimation, supporting accurate, timely bids. A strong organizational mindset and plan-reading proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating material, labor and time costs from inputs, vendors, data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work amid interruptions and changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Anton Cabinetry's products, services, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphic design, and construction take-off apps.
• Understanding of drafting and engineering principles, standards, and terminology.
• Ability to read and analyze blueprint-type drawings and construction drawing principles for millwork.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project planning, problem solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
• Solid math skills and accuracy in calculations.
• Experience using TradeSoft, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present proposals after identifying materials, labor, time, subcontractor equipment and overhead costs.
• Prepare reports for management outlining short- and long-term resource requirements to complete projects on time and within profitability targets.
• Maintain database of products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, customer preferences, and industry trends to support accurate proposals.
• Work closely with other departments using clear communication and teamwork.

• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm

Position Summary :

• Preparing and presenting proposals for clients after identifying materials, labor, time, subcontractor equipment and overhead cost estimates.
• Preparing reports for management indicating both short and long-term requirements for resources needed to complete projects to plan, organize and schedule work and to determine profitability.
• Maintain database of products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, customer preferences, and industry trends to accurately estimate proposals.
• Work closely with other departments using clear communication and teamwork.

• Able to read, interpret and analyze blueprint-type drawings, and knowledge of layout, shop drawing and construction drawing principles for custom commercial millwork and casework.
• Have strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact tactfully and effectively with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
• Have strong project planning, problem solving, decision-making and business reasoning skills, combined with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Have strong knowledge and accuracy with mathematical concepts and calculations.
• Experience using TradeSoft, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam construction software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years' experience with estimation of layout, design, construction, installation project costs for custom commercial or residential casework and/or millwork.
• Associate's degree with a focus on construction management or equivalent combination of experience and education.
