Job summary

Tiello LLC, partnering with a Commercial Masonry Contractor in Central Texas, is seeking an Estimator to focus on work in the Commercial Masonry sector, handling estimates up to $25M.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in structural concrete and masonry and will compile estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents, including labor, material, equipment and time requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in construction or civil engineering and related field.
• 3+ years estimating projects for reputable GC/subcontractors.
• Commercial masonry experience.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, requirements and specifications.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
• Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost.
• Determine costs of labor, material and equipment.
• Submit requisitions for material purchases.
• Meet bidding and work schedules.

Company Overview:

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Commercial Masonry Contractor in the Central Texas area on their search for an Estimator to focus on work in the Commercial Masonry sector, working in a team to put together estimates ranging in value up to $25M.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in structural concrete and / or masonry and will be responsible to compile estimates for the cost of work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Included in this will be the estimation of labor, material, equipment, and time requirements in order to compute the overall cost and duration of the project.

Project Type:

New Construction, ground-up masonry projects - Retail, Office Buildings, Hotels, Multifamily, Schools, Arenas, etc. ($10M-$50M)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform all responsibilities of a Project Estimator including but not limited to the following:
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
• Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
• Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
• Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
• Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules
• Submit requisitions for the purchase of materials
• Compare competitive specialist and material

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related is preferred.
• 3+ years Estimating projects for reputable General Contractors/Subcontractors
• Commercial Masonry Experience
• Willingness to travel or pass background/drug screen
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
