Job summary

Qualifications

• Education through an accredited trades program or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electrical engineering is a plus, not required.
• 3–5 years of project estimating or related experience.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving aptitude.
• Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals for commercial, industrial, mission critical, education and healthcare projects.
• Perform take-offs, review RFP packages, and conduct site reviews to prepare estimates.
• Attend project meetings and site visits; discuss scope with Superintendents/Project Managers.
• Develop and deliver Basis of Estimate (BOE) and cost plans.
• Lead reviews of project estimates with engineering disciplines.
• Generate award documentation and communicate project staffing needs.
• Develop labor rates, subcontract costs, and mult-Discipline take-offs.
• Enter data into spreadsheets/databases for estimates.
