Job Description

About the position: We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our estimating department. We perform all facets of site development for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ranging in size from $200K to over $20 million. The selected candidate will be responsible for procuring work to bid, bidding projects, and negotiating contracts and change orders with owners/clients. They will also manage projects awarded, coordinate with the accounting department on invoicing from subcontractors and vendors, review or issue subcontracts and POs, and coordinate with field personnel.

Candidate criteria:

• Minimum of 5+ years estimating experience
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills with clients and co-workers
• Existing client portfolio for bidding opportunities
• Contacts with local engineering firms for project solicitation
• Ability to identify projects to bid on
• Experience in project management and cost control post-bid
• Proficiency in reading plans and specifications
• Understanding of contract documents
• Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office and Bid2Win Software
• Experience with AGTEK earthwork take-off software
• Field experience is a plus
• Willingness to work required hours to meet deadlines
