Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Estimator for a major utilities client. The role requires 8+ years of construction estimating, preferably in electric or gas utilities. You will develop and maintain estimates, budgets, and cost-loaded schedules for large capital projects, supporting planning through capital delivery.

The position is three days onsite at West Nyack, NY and two days remote, with collaboration across PMs to review drawings and establish WBS structures for major infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating utility, infrastructure, heavy civil, transmission/distribution, or large capital construction projects.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis experience.
• Experience developing detailed estimates from drawings, scopes, and construction packages.
• HeavyBid (HCSS) experience.
• Primavera P6 experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Cost-loaded scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost-loaded schedules for large capital projects.
• Support the full project lifecycle, including planning, estimating, change management, cost control, and capital planning.
• Collaborate with project managers, review drawings/scopes, and develop WBS structures.
• Support major utility infrastructure projects within electric and gas sectors.
