BD Lead | Metric Geo | Heavy Civil Construction

We’re partnering with a leading civil contractor to find a sharp, detail-driven Estimator with strong experience in asphalt paving and roadway construction. If you're ready to take ownership of bids from take-off to closeout—and want to work on impactful DOT, municipal, and commercial projects across the state—this could be your next move.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bids for DOT and municipal roadway projects
• Conduct quantity take-offs, pricing, and scope analysis
• Review drawings/specs and attend pre-bid meetings
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, and owners to shape strong proposals
• Present estimates to leadership and contribute to bid reviews
• Support pre-construction setup, cost tracking, and project close-out
• Assist with change orders, project impact analysis, and billing accuracy

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience
• 5+ years of estimating experience (asphalt paving / roadway construction preferred)
• Proficient with estimating tools like HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob, AGTEK, Bluebeam
• Strong knowledge of DOT/public works construction methods
• Exceptional time management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bonus: Experience with Primavera (P6) and CPM scheduling
