Job summary

Hollingsworth Auto Service Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking an Estimator to provide comprehensive damage analysis and oversee repairs in progress.

Qualifications

Estimator

Position Overview

Responsible for providing comprehensive damage analysis, overseeing vehicle repairs while in process, following administrative guidelines, and updating customers.

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Accountability

The Estimator reports to the General Manager and the Production Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for Writing Estimates and Capturing the Repair
• Follow Estimator Guidelines and the Estimator Workflow as outlined
• Ensure administrative guidelines are followed for each estimate / repair
• Ensure that all supplements are written and that the carriers are notified in an appropriate time frame
• Update job dates, file notes, etc as needed throughout the course of the day, and in the evenings before close
• Assist in quality control and complete the final inspection of vehicles
• Ensure successful completion of all RO’s that they handle
• Update WIP board throughout the day

Additional Job Functions

• Assist with greeting customers
• Assist in answering the phones
• Continuously strive to improve efficiency in the facility and the overall operation of Hollingsworth and be willing to participate in shop meetings and training programs which are sponsored by Hollingsworth.
• Assist in the smooth flow of work through the shop
• Maintain work area in clean and safe condition
• Keep production manager aware of work status
• Alert the production manager to any unusual problems or additional work needed on a vehicle

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• 4+ years of experience
• Proper certifications or ability to obtain certifications
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills
• Should be proficient in damage analysis
• Should have basic math skills, including the use of a calculator
• Should have strong “sales” skills
• Should have experience with Estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex)
