    • Fabricated components and assemblies
    • Modular / precast‑integrated systems
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models
  • Analyze bid documents, specifications, and scope requirements
Manufacturing & Fabrication Integration
  • Develop estimates that reflect actual shop production workflows, including:
    • Labor hours (welding, fabrication, assembly)
    • Material costs (steel, hardware, specialty components)
    • Equipment utilization and throughput constraints
  • Coordinate with production teams to validate:
    • Fabrication methods
    • Cycle times
    • Shop capacity impacts
Vendor & Procurement Coordination
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Level bids and ensure scope coverage aligns with project requirements
  • Work with procurement to identify cost‑saving opportunities and long‑lead risks
Field Installation & Logistics
  • Incorporate field labor, installation sequencing, and site constraints into estimates
  • Coordinate with field operations to validate:
    • Crew sizing and productivity rates
    • Travel, per diem, and site conditions
  • Account for shipping, handling, and logistics of manufactured components
Scope Development & Risk Management
  • Clearly define inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions in all estimates
  • Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, and constructability risks
  • Support value engineering efforts and alternative design solutions
Preconstruction Collaboration
  • Work closely with:
    • Design team (AOR, internal design/BIM)
    • Engineering
    • Operations and field leadership
  • Support design‑assist and design‑build efforts with real‑time pricing input
