STO Building Group is seeking an Estimator in Salt Lake City, Utah to prepare estimates for commercial and industrial projects and support cost accuracy with the project team.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management and at least two years of estimating experience, with familiarity in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating. Local candidates or relocation considered.

Qualificações

• At least 2 years of estimating experience on commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
• Experience with hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating preferred.
• Project size ideally $20M or greater.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build and conceptual estimating.
• Reads and understands contract documents (plans, specifications & addenda).
• Performs quantity take-offs, organizes and prices information.
• Solicits bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Communicates with subs and suppliers to clarify pricing information.
• Prepares estimate formats in areas such as general conditions, general bidding, quantity takeoffs and bid analysis.
• Assists with the preparation of bid proposals for submittal.
• Prepares outline schedules for proposed projects.
• Assists staff with various special projects related to estimating.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 year experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, showing competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Relevant experience is going to be highly preferred
• Project size will be considered; ideally $20M or greater
• Local or open to relocation to either area
