Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking an Estimator for our Civil Highway Construction Group in Rock Island, IL. This permanent on-site position focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates for bids on roadwork, paving, pipe installation, and earthmoving projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in highway/civil infrastructure estimation, strong blueprint reading skills, and solid communication and negotiation abilities. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience estimating highway/civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and civil sitework.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to visit job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and prepare detailed cost estimates for bids on roadwork, paving, pipe installation and earthmoving.
• Review plans, specifications, and site data; collaborate with project managers and subcontractors.
• Estimate materials, labor, and equipment; prepare written proposals and budgets.
