Job summary

Rose-Paving-LL is a growing paving, concrete, and earthwork contractor in California seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Engineer to join our team. You will prepare quantity takeoffs, review plans, and develop cost estimates for earthwork, paving, and site development projects.

The role supports project managers, coordinates with field personnel, and participates in preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and site development projects.
• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Experience in estimating, project engineering, or project management within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and concrete construction practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with estimating software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and site development projects.
• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Support project managers with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
